This is a great radio and its list of features will amaze you. For starters, the radio uses a phase-locked loop (PLL) to ensure rock solid frequency stability. The AR1748 has an AM band, FM band (FM stereo via headphone jack), and three short-wave bands that run from 1711kHz right up to 29999kHz. Not only does this provide really good sound and reception for everyday use, it's also a must-have in case of emergency or power outages. The analogue tuning is assisted with a digital display and a tuning step, select fast for scrolling through the frequency or slow for that fine adjustment. This unit is built with high performance IC's and MOSFET's that provide high sensitivity, strong anti-interference, low background noise and distortion. Includes a large back lit LCD displaying the frequency, clock, battery level and signal strength indicator.

The Carcomm iPhone 4/4S Power Cradle with antenna coupler and audio-out (CMIC-105-AC) powers and charges your iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S while you're on the move, holds it securely into its position, and allows an external antenna to be connected. It also incorporates an Audio Line-Out Connection so that you can enjoy your favourite music on your in-car entertainment system.

This unique and patented cradle uses injection-moulding manufacturing which ensures a perfect fit to the iPhone 4 and 4S. Note that because it is a perfect fit to the iPhone, it does not allow use of a skin, case or cover on the phone while in the cradle.

For complete handsfree car kit functionality, use this cradle together with a Bluetooth headset, or with a Bluetooth vehicle speakerphone, or with your vehicle's inbuilt Bluetooth (if equipped).

For landscape mode you can easily rotate the holder into a horizontal position. This is often used while using navigation software on the phone. If you want to use your phone in portrait mode you can easily rotate it back into a vertical position.

The holder is delivered with everything needed to use it straight away. Use the window mount to install the holder on your windscreen, plug in the cigarette lighter adaptor and you are ready to go.

The design of the Carcomm Mobile iPhone Cradle ensures that your iPhone is protected and sits firmly in the cradle while you are driving. To let the cradle blend in with the interior of your car the colour of the cradle matches the dashboard ( dark grey ) with the added bonus that it won't attract attention.

The Mobile iPhone Cradle has a long cable (1.5m) which ends in a 8 pin Mini-DIN connection. This connection is suitable for several cables, the set comes standard with an Audio/out cable and a 12-24V cigarette lighter adapter. The Audio cable is used to connect the cradle to the in-car entertainment system.

By integrating the charging system into the cradle you can very easily build the cradle into your vehicle. Simply remove the cigarette lighter plug and use the included cable with in-line fuse to hard-wire the cradle into the vehicle.

To mount the cradle into the vehicle you can make use of the included window/dash suction mount. Otherwise you can use the included rotating swivel-mount for a fixed installation. This can be mounted in the vehicle with the included screws.

NB Cradle is pictured with device in it - price does not include the device itself or the antenna. Carcomm cradles work without needing an external antenna. However if you live in a weak signal area where an external antenna would assist, you can do so. There are many different antennas available; we have several compatible antennas suitable for the Telstra NextG network here.
