The AR1747 has an AM band, FM band (stereo), and three short-wave bands that run from 1711kHz right up to 29999kHz. Not only does this provide really good sound and reception for everyday use, it's also a must-have in case of emergency or power outages.

Note: If you order this model online we will change your order to the new model Digitech AR1748. The digital tuning display shows you the exact frequency you are listening to and has both fast and slow tuning speeds. Once you reach the end of a frequency band the tuner 'wraps-around' to start tuning again, or you can tune back the way you came. The radio is well built using quality components and is housed in a robust case with a large, easily read display that shows frequency, signal strength, band, battery condition, and timer status. Other features include AM RF gain, AM bandwidth switch, local/DX switch, stereo line-out connectors, alarm function, snooze button, button lock, and the list goes on. The radio operates on 6VDC which can be supplied from 4 x AA batteries, 4 X D batteries, an external DC supply or mains input.
